The Extended Service Program (ESP) was developed by Bombardier in cooperation with Widerøe Flyveselskap as the launch customer to extend the life cycle of Bombardier Dash 8-100.
Widerøe Technical Services was world pioneers in incorporating the service bulletin and maintenance program supplement and have so far done this on 16 aircraft in the fleet.
The ESP, which we have dubbed 80K collegially, expands the original life cycle of the aircraft by 50% by, amongst many other things, replacing crucial structural parts, performing modifications and rotables component upgrades.
WTS has invested substantially in facilities, infrastructure, and logistics to undertake such a feat and has greatly improved on the original projected turn time by smart solutions, and by using our in house back shops with short distances to their full potential.
